Demetrius Andrade

The 30-year-old American boxer became a professional in 2008, having significant achievements in amateurs – world champion (2007), winner of the Pan American Games (2007), winner of the Golden Gloves tournament (2006, 2007).

He won all the fights in pro-ring (25), incl. 16 by knockout. The last victory was won on 10/21/2017 (by unanimous decision over unbeaten A. Fox). Demetrius is left-handed, height 185 cm, nickname Boo boo.

Demetrius Andrade was deprived of the WBO world middleweight title at first middleweight because he had not defended him for 13 months.

The last fight Andrade held last June, knocking out Brian Rose.

In December 2014, it was planned that he would meet with Germell Charlo, but Andrade refused because of the small fee.

After that, the WBO banned him from defending in a fight with Anthony Mindine, as he was not part of the WBO elite group of boxers.

Professional career

He made his debut at the professional ring in November 2008 in the middle weight category.

August 19, 2011 won on points American Grady Brewer.

In January 2013, he defeated the Mexican, Freddie Hernandez.

He won first place in the WBO ranking, the first middle weight class, and was appointed to the battle of Demetrius, with the champion, the Russian, Zaurbek Baysangurov. Shortly before the battle, Zaurbek was injured, and withdrew from the battlefield. In the battle for the vacant title rival Andrade, was appointed an American boxer of Armenian origin, Vanes Martirosyan.

November 11, 2013 appointed Demetrius Andrade vs. Vanes Martirosyan for the vacant WBO world title. Andrade defeated Martirosyan by split decision and became the new WBO champion in the 1st middleweight title.

Championship fight with Jack Cool
On March 11, 2017, Demetrius Andrade won by split decision Jack Kulkai and won the WBA regular world champion title at the 1st middleweight title.
